When is it appropriate to ask a work colleague out for a coffee without doing it too hastily and without waiting for too long that she gets a guy or you become friendzoned? And how best do you play it off and get over the awkwardness if it is a no?

Best time to ask is just before the lunch break. If she says no, she's going out with friends for example, then perhaps make it clear that the offer is still there "whenever she's up for it".

If she straight up says no and shows no interest in you, you could laugh it off slightly and be like 'ah okay, maybe some other time' and already make your way out of there, so it sounds as if you're not too hooked on the idea and prevents her from thinking that she flat out rejected you.

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
