I have my first day tomorrow for an internship. Is it okay to not bring a bag and just turn up?

They didn't say bring anything, although I wonder if it may look unprofessional or too casual?

You are over thinking this. If you don't need one, then it's fine not to take one. No one is going to care or even perceive whether that's casual or not.

Be aware you might need to take stuff with you at the end of the day though. You might get an induction pack or be expected to take notes etc. And if you don't have anywhere to store those overnight in the office, you are likely to be taking them home.
