Thought I would revive this topic in light of the impeding moving in date.

Also could anyone post a timetable of the LSE SU Freshers events so we can organise the Passfield Comitee ones in respect of it?

What type of events will be organised for Passfield?

Is there something on Sunday 30 September (moving in day)?

Yes there is one kettle per kitchen.

Events will be a variety of things, like pub crawls, sight seeing tours, lively parties in the bar, meet and greets with tea and biscuits, trips to LSE, trips around passfield, pub quizes etc

On the sunday there will be a meet and greet during the day with tea and biscuits, then dinner, then meet and greet in the bar, with special offers on.

Thanks Nero.
What time do you recommend for arrival on Sunday 30? I was thinking of getting there about 4 pm.
Reply 25
Anytime after 2pm, the room is generally not available before then.

I can't help asking, Nero3000, who are you? tell me your name. I should know you
Question..

I'm broke. I actually just e-mailed accommodation about requesting a triple. Does anyone know if this is a regrettable decision? I don't care about sharing, I've done it for years. I mean.. is it *really* cramped? Or just a small sacrifice.. (It saves me over $1500 a year, which would be wonderful to have in my pocket)

Not cramped, quite the opposite actually. You'll notice that some of the singles literally have no space to move - whereas in a triple the "common area" is a lot bigger and makes it feel so, though of course it is shared between 3 people.
I know of someone who shared a triple this year without any problems, so it should be worth the money you save!

Just to clarify, I was speaking from experience as well, trust me it's worth the value if you don't have issues sharing. That said, the difference between a triple and a double isn't *that* much, and dynamics of sharing are easier with one other person rather than two.

Partially true, singles are small but not all triple rooms are that spacious, most arent actually. I think twin rooms are probably the best in terms of- size of room, value for money, just having to share with one person etc..
