Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics. Best non-fiction book I've read ever. It's not really about finance or economics - it's about people.

It really changed the way I think about things.

Hello! This depends greatly on your current level of experience and exposure. If you are a complete novice, I found some of the explanations on Khan Academy quite useful for clarifying certain terms you hear about but don't really understand - for example 'short selling'.
For more in-depth knowledge about finance I would read this bad boy: http://store.elsevier.com/Investment...9780124158207/ I found that book extremely useful because it gave me an understanding of all the main institutional details which are probably the hardest thing to learn (the basic financial principles are all relatively easy to understand).

for business, I'd say you must read
business wisdom from a pawnbroker by Les gold, I have it and would consider it virtually a bible for business situations with humour, life and personal anecdotes mixed in

    another good book is
    entrepreneur revolution by daniel Priestley

if you're involved in gold or jewellery then these are the best books to buy
    pawnbrokers handbook by alexander Cullen
gold and silver scrap dealers handbook by alexander Cullen
the beginners guide to gold and silver scrap by alexander Cullen
scrap gold buyers handbook by George Evers
