I've recently seen a few Twitter profiles of people who say they are 'traders' and to DM them if you'd like to make money, so what is trading and what how exactly do these guys make money because they obviously need clients or whatever to make the money otherwise they wouldn't be advertising it, how does this work?

most o them are shady and I wouldn't trust them
they stock traders normally sometimes currency and precious metals as well
best bet is to buy any gold yourself that you can hold physically and go to a proper trading company like Hargreaves Lansdown
I have £9,000 in shares with them and I keep 10 gold Krugerrands in my safe (i had more bullion but Brexit made me a nice profit )

It's almost certainly a scam, avoid.
