    What exams do Computer Science students do in their first year, if there are any?

    Every university has different module content for their courses. I would suggest that you visit their websites and follow up on their modules directory on the course page

    Hi, not sure if you still want answers to this question but anyway:

    In January you will do a two hour exam for each of Database Systems and Professional Development and Practices.

    In May/July you will do a two hour exam for each of Database Systems and Computer Systems Internals and Linux

    Database systems is 100% assessed by exam
    Professional Development & Practices is assessed by exam in the first semester and coursework in the second semester
    Web Dev & HCI is 100% coursework assessed
    Comp Sci Internals & Linux is assessed by exam and regular practical tests
    Programming is assessed by regular homework, a project and regular written tests/exams

    All info is correct as of last year (when I did them)
