Girls, you can get nice suits from Warehouse, Oasis and Next. Zara have lots of choice too but sometimes they don't do matching jackets

Thanks, I've been wondering where to shop! Are they reasonable prices?

I prefer wearing uniform/suits for school. I'd hate it if we all dressed in whatever we wanted - at least with uniform you KNOW what you're wearing in the morning! :p:

Someone minused me for my first post, calling it "tacky". If the anonymous person would like to continue the argument properly, instead of hiding in anonymity, feel free to PM me

Our sixth form had no clothing rules at all, but then again my school uniform was so lax it didn't make much of a difference! In years 7-11 you had to wear blue trousers/shorts/skirt/boardies of some sort, black shoes (could easily get away with trainers) and a white top of some sort polo shirt/proper shirt/vest top etc. In years 10 and 11 you were allowed to wear blue tops so everyone wore denim shirts!

I had 3 suits and about 10 shirts for 6th form.

I don't know what you would class as reasonable as I've never bought a suit before

Anyway, my suit from Oasis, comprising of jacket, skirt and trousers cost me £150. (£70, 40, 40 I'm guessing)
Zara was a similar price range and the sit was gorgeous but my mum said the hemline was wonky and badly stitched so didn't buy me that one, oh well, I like mine!

Mmm i have a grey suit but no matching trousers... my trousers happen to be a brownish colour lol. Hope they don't mind... Might get another suit, but i don't really care how tacky i look, as long as my clothes don't fall apart in my next two years, i'm fine with looking scruffy  I do feel they should abolish the dress code though, people do feel much more relaxed (well, i do anyway) wearing own clothes.

Wow, I guess I'm lucky.
We can wear anything for Sixth Form as long as it isn't:
-offensive
-revealing
-dangerous (like too high a heel)
&piercings have to be unobtrusive.

In our school ur pretty much allowed to wear anything (at 6th form). They tried being tougher on the rules but every1 ignored them

I feel I should apologise, my original post does seem a bit pretentious and unnecessary. I was just really chuffed with it all, so I felt the need to share

Apologies

I know this doesn't really help with the thread but....

Where do you people go to college? Suits?

At my sixth form it was wear what ever the hell you like as long as it isnt offensive to the younger years.

And tbh I didn't buy anything new for college because it was just everyday clothes, I bought stuff when I needed it like I normally would.

You don't need to buy any new clothes for a normal sixth form really. Just wear whatever you'd normally wear at the weekends and in the holidays- ie tops, jeans and shoes/boots/trainers.
