I've put Murano as my first choice as far as the accommodation, however today I have heard some pretty scary news about it. For instance some students were attacked and robbed on the way home. Is it so horrible? And if so, what would you recommend?

It's honestly fine, nothing is going to happen to you. Just practice common sense.

    Hi there!

I worked and lived in Murano for my second year, and it really wasn't that bad. There are stories that go around, but that's the same for around Glasgow or any major city. As Dreadfuse said, use your common sense. At night, whether going back to Murano from Uni or after a party, go with a group of people or take a taxi.

Murano is the largest of the accommodation choices, so you'll meet loads of people. It has great security and senior residents, too.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your time at University!
