# Percentage calculations Watch

1. Attachment 561068561066Hello, for this I keep getting 543,000 but the answer is 719000. I think I'm making an error somewhere could anyone explain this question? Thank you.

2. For newspaper A, original sales number (133000) dropped by 50% (i.e. half) so: 133000*0.5=66500
For newspaper B, sales increased by 133%, so multiplier of 2.33 (from 1.00x being your original value): 176000*2.33=410080
Newspaper C increased by 5/9, since our original value is 1x (=9/9) our multiplier is now 14/9: 156000*(14/9)=242667

add them up, round to 3sf = 719'000
