Is it okay if I do something physics related for my extended project qualification even though I am going to do the aeronautical engineering course when I get to uni?

I was maybe thinking of doing particle physics or about the god particle (Higgs boson).

    thanks

Of course you can! You can do whatever you like for the EPQ, as long as it interests you. It can be an advantage to have one tailored for your course, but yours is reasonably similar so it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Yeah, you can get into some rigorous maths when looking at particles at a higher levels, which will complement your choice of engineering very well regardless of its context
