I'm currently on the pill but I want to go on the implant as I don't have to remember it everyday and worry about it for another 3 years, i've heard so much horror stories about the side effects and have finally decided that I just want to try it and book to take it out if it's not for me.
I have found a clinic/ hospital i want to get it done at as i feel uncomfortable going to GP as they've known my family for years. the opening times is 3-7pm 2 days a week I think, I don't know whether I can drop in or phone ahead of time.
also i'm kinda nervous as to what to say, I'm not sexually active, so scared of the question but i want to be prepared for when i am, so I'm ready in every possible way and i have gotten used to the hormones. Am i allowed to just go on the implant because i want to.
how can i prepare for this and also what can i expect from the appointment?
i'm thinking of calling them today, as after today it's closed for until next week.
How do you ask for the implant? Watch

Many GPs don't offer the implant and it's often done at a family planning or sexual health clinic anyway.
Clinics vary as to whether or not you need an appointment - the NHS website should say.
