One of the things i hate about living up north is escalator etiquette. It's like you've been in a big city / down south for so long and you go back up north and you're getting the evils because people refuse to get out the way and you had the 'nerve' to ask them to move out of the way (politely).
I had someone shout me down and have a massive argument about how rude i was being because i wanted to walk down the escalator so i could get my train on time! (of course they refused to move)
Londoners have it made. Escalators up north are like the wild west. No rules. Buggies, groups completely blocking the way, huge loads of luggage that should be in a lift...

One thing I hated about living down south was the escalator etiquette. I was always amazed at how many self important people would shove you, elbow you and hurl abuse at you as they barged past you in their desperate attempt to not be a minute late for their corporate masters.
Chill, relax, take it easy. You'll enjoy life a lot more and may avoid giving yourself an aneurysm before you reach 50.Last edited by Sulfolobus; 13-07-2016 at 18:49.
