    Hi,

So i just recently signed a contract to work part time at Costco for 24 hours a week. My work will commence in August. However, I did not tell them off my plans to start university (October), as I believe they wouldn't have hired me. I really need a job, to save up and gain experience and had been struggling to find one for over a year now.

I would like some advice on what I should tell my employer before I start uni in October, preferrably 2 weeks before. Also, does anyone currently working and going uni think that 24 hrs a week is too manageable? I would request a shift change to about 10 hours each Saturday and Sunday 20hrs so far) and either 4 or more weekday hours to make up the 24hours as stated on the contract.

Any help and advice will be much appreciated. Cheers!😉

I work 30 hours a week along side uni and I manage fine so it's possible,

Also maybe just say you weren't sure if you would get the grades so you didn't want to mention it, then mention the change of hours when you start the job
