My monologue ( for audition )

Hey guys. I'm auditioning for this contest and I decided to write my own material. I'm playing a character who murdered an entire group of people who murdered my family and now I'm being interrogated. It will last 3 minutes. Any ideas on a good start for it?

You could start with a question (like it's just been asked), maybe something obvious like 'did I do it', as that could lead to some quite good character development- you could either be trying to deny everything, very proud or just a nervous wreck. Then throughout you could go back to asking yourself questions if you get stuck, like your characters going off on a kind of rant (e.g. Why did I do it? Why ask me? - different depending on chosen personality)
