I did the wjec English Language and Im certain I've failed it. I get a's and a* in mocks but my course work was only a b, I read the questions wrong and feel down. I have dreams of opening my exam results and seeing a H which isnt even possible. I'm also taking A-levels and got a conditional offer at a really good sixth form and Im getting really down about it I just cannot forget about it.

I'm sure you've done a lot better than you think you have! Even if you did read the questions wrong, it doesn't mean you won't gain any marks. I know this is hard, but you really can't do anything about it now or change your results so there is no point in worrying about it. I'm pretty certain that I've failed English lit and physics, but I've just come to realise that there is absolutely no reason to stress over it now as I can't change what happened in any way. Don't let it consume your summer break, have fun and just put it out of your mind until results day

    Good luck!

I did wjec english as well, and I second the idea that you probably did better than you think. Hopefully the grade boundaries will be quite low, as by the sounds of it lots of people were a bit thrown by the questions, so you may gain a good few marks there. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry

I also sat both exams. May I ask which exam you're talking about, paper one where you analyse a story and write or story or paper two where you analyse two pieces and then write a letter. I had to re sit the former from January due to wjec being idiots and marking everyone low, I received a c and I know my work was above that grade and wasn't as good as the new paper. Plus, only 4 people in my entire year recieved an a grade. I also had b grades in my coursework and am considering a level English so I'm very concerned.

Even if you read the question wrong, firstly, the marking criteria is split into content and technique so if you varied sentence structure, used alliteration etc.then you may secure full marks for that section. In terms of content , some of it be credible even if you dont realise - don't worry and best of luck for results day!
