Having prepared since early March I was pretty confident going into my internal mocks. However the Saturday before the exam my Granddad passed away this resulted in me having a general bad mood and resulted me in getting an E in Biology and U in Chemistry. However I am confident about getting at least B's in these in A-level. But one of my 6th form teachers says that those are the grades I will get and max improve by 1-2 grades and maybe I should look to apply for another 6th form or college. What should I do?

They should let you off considering the cicrumnstaces.

Don't always rely on a teachers opinion. You doing this bad in a mock to them is like your actual level you're working at which for most people, it simply isn't. Even preparation can = a bad mock grade. That's what mocks are for. To have you see what the real exam will be like and to see what you're doing wrong.

For me and a lot of the other a level students when I went to college, our mock results were always shocking but we never took them seriously. Everyone always got great results for the real exams
