2016-17 season: Your Predictions

**** it lets have 2 games per week all year. I'm up for it and they are well compensated.
With Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool all under pressure to deliver to their fans, I think they'll all make the top four. Sorry Gunners, maybe your beloved club only learns its lessons when it fails to cling on to its only thing that makes it any special

Relegated? Palace (because every FA Cup finalist since 2013 has since been relegated), and any two of the promoted clubs. In the rest of Europe: PSG, Juventus and Bayern will cling onto their thrones while Barca could face a serious challenge for theirs
Someone will always predict Arsenal to be out of the top 4, Liverpool to win the league and spurs to finish higher than arsenal. None of which ever happens.
Champions: Chelsea
Top Four (in any order): Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal
Relegated (in any order): Burnley, Swansea, Sunderland (if they lose Big Sam)
Surprise Package: Sunderland (if they keep Big Sam)

Top Scorer: Aguero
Best signing of the season: Victor Valdes

This is so true

Swansea as an outside bet for relegation isn't a bad shout tbh. I really can't see one of Burnley or Hull staying up though, Hull have the same squad that went down 2 years ago (look how well that worked for QPR & Norwich) and we know what we'll get with Burnley - they'll sign a few "hardworking" Championship players and be competitive in games, but lacking any quality to win them.

Hull are always a difficult side to beat because they pack out the midfield. If they still have Huddlestone, he'll spray the ball over the pitch and they just need some quality upfront to survive comfortably.
I predict that there will be some shocking predictions and some nonce will predict Arsenal to win the league.

mind the gap:wink:

still can't believe they finished third in a two horse race

I daresay most Spurs fans can
Gotta be Hull for the drop now hasn't it. They're in a right mess by all accounts.
Still a little way to go in the transfer market yet, but Swansea are really looking dodgy to me at the mo.

Williams looking likely to leave, 20m bid made for Ayew, and Gomis already out the door to essentially leave them with no recognised senior strikers. That would be essentially the spine of the team gone and they've had very little incoming activity either, presumably because of the uncertainty they've had because of the takeover.

If they sell Williams and Ayew it's hard to see them staying up. Good news for them is there's only 2 relegation spots this year as Hull are already down

3 weeks until the season starts, it's that time of year again.

Obviously a lot will change between now and kick off, so people will change their minds based off what happens, however we're starting to get an idea of how teams will be placed going into next season. Plus it's always funny to bump this after January and laugh at those of us who got it horribly wrong!
