Actually near the values of British people, people born from 1950-1970's are generally anti gay and anti Immigration

I notice how the Same Sex Marriage bill failed to pass though a parliament filled with MPs in this age bracket... If this was true then the vote would have been political suicide, but it wasn't.

The one that was approved by parliament by 366 votes to 141, got Royal Assent on 17 July 2013 and has since seen over 15,000 marriages?

Lol you know one of our other closest allies beheads people, funds ISIS and is one of the most extreme counties in the world? Saudi Arabia weirdly is also one of the stronger allies of the US and Israel. 10/10 political logic. So that doesn't phase me.

Could have easily said the same about Bush and Cheney.

    The world didn't end.

    Non-story.

Yes i'd prefer Russia/ China instead of Israel, USA and Saudi Arabia. The US is the root of all troubles and they drag us down with them.

Right, Mike Pence is a ****ing ******** and a dinosaur, but can I just clarify my views on a couple of things here because certain views are being used here abusively when they shouldn't be--

    (1) Being anti-abortion is not being "anti-women". There is a sensible debate to be had about abortion - this is not it. This is hysterical abuse being directed to one side that simply seeks to shut down debate. That's not on.

    (2) Saying that businesses should have the right to choose who they serve does not equate to being anti-LGBT. It means quite simply what it says: that a business owner should have the right to choose. That I support allowing people to socialise in their own homes with the people they choose on any basis does not make me anti-gay or a racist or anything else.

It also shocks me that for someone with as ridiculous views as Mike Pence, people feel the need to quote him out of context. On the "cigarettes don't kill" point, that was expanded by the point that "2 out of every three smokers does not die from a smoking related illness" - accepting that a third do. He also went on to say "smoking is not good for you" and so on. Yes, his views are absurd, but when you lower yourself to easily rebuttable attacks, you weaken your own position.
