I have cancelled my accommodation booking and have asked for a refund on my £200 deposit as I have changed university by applying through extra, however the university has told me that I can longer receive the refund as my cancelation was outside the 7 day cancelation period and I have to have not met the entry requirements for the course. As £200 is a lot to lose for accommodation I haven't used is there any way I can get this money back?
    Thanks

Quite possibly not. What do their Ts and Cs say? It sucks but sadly, that is the way of the world.

    Good luck!

no, it's a deposit, the whole point is you don't get it back... some places allow you to have it back if you don't get in but not everywhere and they wont have any flexibility on their policy
