Cello's Summer Bucket List!Watch
I'm not going anywhere this summer, and so I have a good long 8 weeks in which to do anything. Considering last year I spent the entire time working I thought I'd use this thread to give me a kick to do some productive and creative things!
Because this is TSR, I'll include some academic goals this summer, but mostly I'll be looking to enjoy myself before college starts again in September (and to distract myself from the looming results day! )
2016 Summer List:

I built a terrarium on Day 5
Learn about my progress on Day 4

Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5
Take my theory test - Completed!
And I passed! I'm very happy with this and glad it's out of the way, so I just need to focus on passing my practical next (but that's for much later ) Excuse the black scribbles on the certificate, I didn't want to reveal my name!
Today I wrote about 'If each decade of your life was a song, what would they be' (it was actually a 'pop song', but I don't really listen to pop, so I cheekily crossed that one out. I've only actually been alive in three decades, so it was quite a short list
Create a summer scrapbook - In progress
I got started on the scrapbook by making a 'title page' and also creating a double page spread for a day out I had back in June, which was to Goodwood Festival of Speed. If you don't know what that is it's basically a car racing event that's quite popular. I've put in space to write about the day, but I wanted to keep that private, so I took the photos before I'd written in them
Today I wrote about 'describing death'. A little morbid, and I had some trouble writing this one, so I just decided to write about death as something restful/peaceful, as that's how I personally see it.
Track down and buy a print of my favourite painting - Completed
Van Gogh painted the view from the window of his asylum room, in which he admitted himself to after cutting his left ear. It's a beautiful piece and my absolute favourite. I took a photo of it hanging up in my room above my bed!
A little less sad than yesterday, but still a bit emotional. The prompt asked to write a break-up letter to your high school sweetheart in the Army. I'm enjoying writing these little prompts, despite my responses being quite awful.
Learn to drive - Completed
I know this is a fairly difficult thing to tick, but I'm defining 'learn to drive' as getting a hold of the basics - which I've finally managed to do. I have my own car - a mini, my absolute favourite car make (I know, I'm incredibly lucky) - so I've been getting a lot of practice in. I'm getting much better at clutch control, going around roundabouts (I never knew they were so odd) and getting just general driving practice in. 30mph feels fast when I'm behind the wheel, which is ridiculous, but I also love doing it! Driving is quickly becoming something I look forward to doing each day/every other day, which is good and I hope that feeling won't wear out. I took a couple of photos in my car. I know nobody is in the seat next to me in the photos, but I'm parked - don't worry, I had a qualified driver with me
I quite liked today's prompt - it was a response to yesterday's! It was asking for the dumped high school sweetheart's response - I decided to go for a slightly angry John trying to 'brush' it off. Absolutely love this book and would definitely recommend it!
I decided to do a relaxing/fun bucket list today, which was to do the DIY project. I've been planning this one for a while, and bought the things I needed yesterday to be able to do it.
Do a DIY project - Completed
I created a terrarium! If you don't know what it is, it's a sort of enclosed pot that contains plants & it goes inside - a silly explanation, but that's roughly it. I chose alpines to go inside of it before I'd got the terrarium in the post, and it was a lot smaller than I thought, so I only put one in. I've taken a before photo (I had all 3 plants there to decide which one to put in) and a photo when it was all done! I'm very happy with how it all worked out.
Today's prompt was simply 'An hour to go...', which obviously has a lot of different interpretations. I decided to go for the most obvious, which was that the narrator had an hour left to live, for whatever reason. A little sad again, but I still enjoyed having a go at writing it!
