I've been to the Shefield open day and I get the impression that with more people jumping on the Hallyu wave Korean courses are becoming more popular. At the moment I am already very conscious because I'm applying with no prior language qualifications or Korean language ability which although it's not needed I still feel I am at a huge disadvantage to other applicants. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew how competitive it is or how many applicants recieve offers type of thing, even if anyone else is planning on applying! Thankssss ^^

It's unlikely to be competitive, Sheffield is pretty good at ensuring as many people as possible can take their courses, even if it looked like the number of people on a course was going to double in the space of a year then they could probably cater for it quite happily.

Admittedly the course is becoming more popular year on year however the course isn't massively competitive. Most people get offers and speaking on the East Asian department as a whole they usually allow you to miss your offer slightly.
