Im starting uni in September and looking for a decent laptop. I have my eyes on the XPS 13 and the MBP but I heard it may be better to wait until uni places start to get confirmed as that is when there are more deals and sales on offer. Does anyone know from past experience whether it is worth it to wait and is there likely going to be deals on the higher end laptops (£600-£1000)?

There are always deals on computers and laptops. There are sites that track the prices although I can't remember what they are. There are articles about them on Money Saving Expert. £600-£1000 seems like a lot of money to spend on a laptop though. Make sure you get it insured.

    Good luck!
