So when the Unis get our A-level results...

Do they just get grades (i.e. AS = B, A2 = A) or do they get the full breakdown of module results? And also are they able to see if any have been resat? I'm just curious as to whether they have this information when deciding whether to admit people with lower grades than their offer etc.
I assume they'll get the same results as what are on your results sheet.

I always thought they got the same as we got, but since I've never seen an A2 results sheet, I don't know what that is!

Hm I would be surprised though if they only got overall grades, cos it would be hard to compare people who had missed their offer.

I don't think they get your module results, because certain people get 479 and the universities don't know (so you have to tell them). Presumably they just find out your overall grade. Unless it's Oxbridge, because they work a little differently, and they know whether or not you resat exams.

I think PQ said they get module grades but not UMS marks.

They get them a week or so before we do I think
They get them 3 days before we actually get them
Unis get the results on the Sunday before the official results day on the Thursday, so as Magikal said, they have 3 working days to consider them. As far as I know, they used to just get the overall grade (eg B) but now that the UCAS application has changed slightly to allow for the inclusion of module grades, they also get those (eg AAABBC.) Cambridge might also get UMS marks because they ask for them on a separate form when you apply, but I'm not sure.
