I am looking through the Cardiff Uni Website at the Music Courses...

I fancy doing the Music (BMus) course but it requires Grade 8 in at least one instrument or voice. I'm sure I could pass Grade 8 Piano before I applying but I hate having time pressure when it comes to music grades.

The Music (BA) on the other hand doesn't need it.

Can anyone considering Music explain the difference between a BA and a BMus?

If I was to study Music at Uni, it was because I'd be going on the become a Secondary Music Teacher.

Please tell me the shut up if you think it is too early for a girl who is still waiting for her GCSEs results to be thinking this far ahead..

What are you doing still hanging around? Well, if you don't cause any more trouble I suppose its ok...Just don't expect me to talk to you.

BTW everyone except Bloodhound, I am going to be doing my Grade 7 at Christmas even though it will cost £44 (ouch! a chuck of the money in my bank account!)

I probably have nooo authority on this, since i'm not even from england but from what i understand BMus is a specialised degree in music, but a BA is a normal bachelor of arts majoring in music.
