I am going to be living in a house with 6 other people next year and we are trying to work out what is the best thing to do when insuring our stuff.

Ive got iPhone, macbook, iMac, xbox one, tv, apple watch, watches, earphones and other things which would cost a fortune to insure individually.

ideally we would like to get a cover which would cover all of our things on one policy?

is this the best way to go or are there other ways?

just leave some bear traps in the house while no one's in it, it'll be fine. Probably cheaper too

insure in on an individual basis
if something goes wrong then you will have conflict when the bill rises as a combined package or get asset insurance for items
that's how i have all my jewellery, watches and bullion on its own separate policy to the other household stuff

admittedly, my collection totals a little over £60,000 at replacement cost

get your own policy, look at student insurance companies, you can name items and pay more

honestly with housemates get anything possible individually as it's just one less thing to go wrong or cause arguments
