    Hi
I'm studying criminology and psychology at southampton this september and need help.
I would like to know more about the area around the campus and information on wessex halls/ glen eyre.

e.g. where are the bad places? i know thornhill is one
e.g. is highfield campus safe at night?
e.g. are there a lot of parties? I'm not one for parties and getting drunk all the time
    e.g. how much is laundry?

    Any information would be helpful!

    1) Chances are, you'll never have to go anywhere near Thornhill. All in all, it's pretty safe. The areas around campus and where students tend to live (Highfield, Portswood, Bassett Green) are all pretty safe.

    2) Yes.

    3) Depends where you live and with whom you are living. Both Glen and Wessex have pretty good party atmospheres but it's a different year with different people. But one thing I can guarantee you that every halls will have at least one "party flat". It's always luck of the draw with flats.

    4) Each load is £2.60-£2.80 depending on what setting you want. Dryers are £1.10 for about 50 minutes but you can add money to get more time. Chances are, you'll need to.

Feel free to hit me up with any more specific questions.
