After many years of trying I finally managed to get myself onto a teacher training course. It's a Level 5 FE direct with an ESOL specialism ITT course. Unfortunately I've just been told (after sending in evidence) that I cannot receive any kind of loan (I only wanted a tuition fee loan) because technically this postgraduate course is worth less than my degree because it's level 5 and my degree is level 6.

There must be a way around this right? In practical terms an English degree has absolutely no value compared to a teaching qualification. I should still qualify for the teaching grant but that doesn't cover the tuition fees.

Is there any way to receive any further funding, as it'll be effectively impossible to become a teacher otherwise. I cannot get onto PGCEs, I've tried dozens of times at this stage, and this course is perfect for me.
Are you going to a festival?
