where to get assessed?
Hiya, I'd like to get an assessment...to see if i'm dyselixc ....now i'm on my gap year and will start uni in sept.
Shall i wait until i'm at uni? Where can i get assessed? My guardian reckoned i migh be dysleic....

A private assessment with a Chartered Psychologist is likely to cost between £250-450.
Many universities will provide assistance with the cost from their Access to Learning Fund as long as you are eligible (and take a short screening that shows that you might be dyslexic). You will need to be enrolled first and some universities ask you to pay a contribution e.g. £50. Speak to the university's dyslexia service so that you know exactly what paperwork to provide when you first see them.
