There is a cable you can buy to plug into a HMDI to HMDI cable and then plug that in. They are pricey though.

You have a few options. One is to buy a cable that directly connects your phone to your TV.
Another is to buy any sort of streaming focused device that will allow you to stream content from your phone to device and display it on your TV. Some of these are straightforward and some require a bit of hacking to get working. VLC and Kodi both spring to mind as having sharing capabilities but I don't know how much support they have on iOS. Even a Chromecast may work but I don't know off hand. If you have a smart TV or it's in some way networked you can potentially cut out the streaming device and cast straight to the TV.
The third option and the one that doesn't require too much faffing is not to stream at all. Instead use your phone as a wireless access point for other devices. Connect another device, like a laptop, computer or purchase an android media box and use that to stream content. This method basically uses your phone in place of a traditional router to provide the internet connection. This is personally my favourite of the 3 and leaves your phone available to be a phone.
I will point out that you can't just "watch TV" on your iPhone, not in the same sense as watching TV on a TV. You won't be watching BBC1 or ITV on your phone like you would on TV. You'd be limited to whatever you can get on iOS. So things like Netflix, YouTube, etc. Which if you had a smart TV or Android box you'd be able to get anyway.
