There's something that is very clearly exhibited in the world, especially in the modern age of the internet, and that is people's ability to find pleasure in the discomfort of others.
You don't have to look any further than these forums to find people who will purposefully antagonise and frustrate others just for a laugh. This extends to virtually any online message board, to arguments, threats and insults on twitter and other social media. In games people will spend hours playing just trying to ruin the fun of the others in the game. They'll spend time making accounts and levelling them up purely for this purpose. People create extra accounts on social media and forums purely for this purpose, sometimes spending hours going back and forth.
What has driven people to be willing to put in this level of effort just to ruin other peoples time? Is it just that these people have genuine psychiatric conditions? Are they trying to compensate for a lack of power in their real lives so hide behind online user names? Is it what parents always tell their kids and that it's just that bullies are jealous? Or is it as simple a fact that they struggle to find any stimulus for whatever reason and get bored?

Because deep down everyone has a bit of sociopath within them, no one is 100% good - except for the glorious Nicholas Cage.
