    1) say you go to a private school - even if you don't, they may not notice
    2) your love for rowing and polo
    3) your parents bank balance - include this under, "other interests"
    4) your love for the queen and the royal family

Dunno to be honest, it's been discussed in a few of my economics lessons at school, but I didn't pay much attention:

    checkout www.studential.com

Read between the lines in the various prospectuses of the unis, look at their websites:

Integrate the following things into your PS:
    - Wider reading: books, The Economist, The FT, Economics Today & Economics Review
    - Make it obvious that you are 'up on things', reference to current issues which interest you and have come to your attention.
    - Useful placement experience - company, school bank etc (don't stress if you haven't got it)
    - If you can, try and pitch your PS at some of the particular features of the course
    - Look at example PSs on studential
    - Speak to somebody who lives and breathes this kind of thing, Baz, Deianra, Ellie etc. and can advise/pontificate to a more convincing degree than me.

Strange, in my Cambridge interview for economics, I got questioned heavily as to why i was doing further maths and they didn't seem to like it
Which college was that at as a matter of interest?
