I think you should get a job, cuz you need a lot of money for a PhD course.

I've only just finished 1st year, so 3 more years to go. PQ said it's really hard to do a PhD without funding, so if I don't it'll be either working or saving.

Do you need to do masters before your Phd? Does it apply to every course?

You can do PhDs with a bachelor's degree, though in engineering I think they prefer you to have an MEng.

If you get a good undergraduate degree you can do a PhD without doing a masters. Although I know more people who have done the masters first like my boss.

    I'll probably either:
    1) Spend a year in Aus getting my Commerical Pilots License.
    2) Spend a year ski-guiding
    3) Get a job purely for the money.

Then for the 2nd year I'll probably go road tripping with my mates. I intend to avoid real life for as long as possible.

If a decent job opportunity comes up, I'll take it. If not, I'll go travelling for a year.

I would have to apply to a law school that does the LPC course (1 year) and then apply for a training contract for 12 months, THEN get a job!

I'd like to spend the summer travelling (although I doubt if I'd have enough money  *LoL*) before starting my pre-reg year
