    So I graduated in Law at Cardiff Uni, and I'm commencing my paralegal position at Admiral Law within a fortnight. My salary is only 16.25k per year which I'm a little disheartened by based on the effort I put into my degree and all the extra curriculars and volunteering I have done.

    Anyone have any experience of feeling like this?

    Is there potential for the salary to increase? We gotta start somewhere. Maybe the valuable experience with this job can help you get to a nicer paying job of your liking in the future.

    It is a tough world out there, especially in the careers that are highly competitive. Maybe you should consider IT? Salaries keep going up up up.

    it's really not uncommon to start on a pretty rubbish salary in a lot of places, once you've spend 6 months in a full time paid job you will probably find you're able to start moving upwards and your volunteering etc will help you do that
