Finally we are getting the first reports of Bake off 2016 and the BBC still hold the contract. Sadly we are not likely to see a start until the end of August due to the Olympics, in fact it may be as late as the 24th of August before it starts, But that gives us a great start to the next academic year doesn't it?Hopefully this thread will be the basis for any further bake off discussion.

Yeah. I watched 2013, 2014 and 2015, then last year they did a full re-run of every series, so I've watched them all
I've got a couple of the books too.

The GBBO might have been postponed to the end of the Olympics to help viewing figures, we can still get a slice of the Great Brickish Bake Off at Legoland Windsor

My absolute favourite program!! Did any of you watch the Great British Sewing Bee? It kept me going for a couple of weeks but it's nowhere near as good as Bake Off

This is literally the highlight of my year!

My greatest achievement may have been getting a photo of my cake shown on 'An Extra Slice' last year:

It got 9.6K likes on the GBBO's official FB!

So true Bake Off and Sherlock are the only programs I go out of my way to watch.
I bite anyone's head off if they dare say a word against the Bake Off or even consider speaking in the middle of the program. :cake:

Wow. Is it sad that I actually remember that cake being on there?
Only question is did it taste as good as it looked?
Why don't you send me some so I can judge? :ahee:

Wow, can't believe you remember it!

Actually, I don't know what it tasted like because we never ate it. I made it for my mum's birthday, but she said that she couldn't bring ourselves to cut into it! So, we ate a shop brought one instead.

It went "furry" after a few months so we made to throw it out haha.

I'm sorry to hear that, But at least he had some fame before he died and will forever be immortalised in that cake.
