    Hello,

I applied for student finance and it's been approved however I now want to cancel it.

    It currently is as this:

If I pres this* button does that cancel it and the payments won't go through as scheduled, etc?

Also, how can I make sure it's been cancelled? (I presume email or phone up SFE.)

    Thanks!

Are you the person who was posting about not going to uni?

If you click cancel it'll be cancelled. It'll cancel automatically anyway once you don't enrol at university.

If you press that Cancel button, it should give you a number that you have to call to cancel.

I thought you were considering your options with Clearing?

Even so, that SFE application isn't for the full £9000 tution loans (for complicated reasons regarding the University it was meant for.) so I'd need to reapply to get the full amount anyway, I presume.

No, your existing application would just have to be reassessed based on your new course cost. For goodness sake don't cancel - you'd have to start the SF process from scratch and that way, there's little chance of your funding being in place for the start of the academic year.

Just phone SF and tell them about your new course, ask them to increase the Tuiton Fee Loan accordingly and they'll tell you what to do next.
