Desperately want to move away from home but cant afford it watch

    • Thread Starter

I want to study medicine next year- i want to move out of home because i dont get on with my parents very well and i want to be a bit more independent. However i live in london which is really expensive and i cant find a job so i cant afford to move out of home. Is anyone else in my situation?

Are you sure you can't find a job? I would have thought a potential medic would be able to find something in one of the biggest cities in the world no?

If you're a UK resident how much maintenance loan would you be entitled to?

if you don't know use this: https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-calculator Going to medical school outside london (if you get into one) may make it easier to afford.

As for finding a job. Apply for anything and everything. Even if it's something you don't want to do like cleaning toilets, you have to start somewhere. The first job is the hardest to find, after that with experience it gets easier.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
