I was working in my attic room because it is a nice big space and I like doing my art homework in there. It's was really hot so I opened the big roof window and was working in my sketchbook beneath the window. When I went out I left my sketchbook open on the double page I was working on and the window as it was. It started raining really heavily and I didn't think anything of it however when I got home I remembered that I had left my sketchbook under a big open window whilst it had been lashing it down. I ran up to find my sketchbook absolutely drenched! I had to pour the pools of water out of my sketchbook. I am an A/A* grade student and a whole years worth of work and MANY hours of my time has been put into in that sketchbook. A lot of the work it is damaged and most of the pages will dry crinkley and creased. I tried to dry of the pages but I don't know what else to do! Will my grade be lowered? Will I have to re do the work?

You might have to redo some of the work but you should be able to flatten the pages using an iron (with a towel over the top of each page.

It might be worth removing the binding completely and cutting out each page so that you can assess the damage more easily - rescue what you can using an iron and towel to flatten, scan them onto a computer so you have a "backup" if you were drawing on both sides of the page and then mount them in a new slightly larger sketchbook. Then if you have pages you can't rescue you can re-do them on the opposite page or you could over-paint/draw/scratch to create something new.
