# fp1 roots of a quadratic watch

1. x2 + 3x-2=0 with roots a and b

with out solving the equation find the value of [ a-(3/b^2) ] *[ b-(3/a^2) ]

i end up with ab(ab-3ab) + 9/(ab) -3b=0 how do i get the -3b in the correct form ie (a+b) or (ab)^n

You have not expanded correctly from what I can see.
