I completed my undergraduate studies (manufacturing engineering) in March and I got admitted for postgraduate studies in one very famous UK university for Marine Engineering and I was very excited at the time I got admitted- it was my target for the past few years.
However, seeing as many people fail at dissertations or modules I feel very anxious before it has even begun... The object of the postgraduate is different than my undergraduate and I am afraid I won't have the necessary knowledge... Although my undergraduate was completed in Greece (5 year integrated studies leading to a diploma, meaning I could start Phd straight away) I am really getting cold feet seeing all the money that will be spent in vain should I fail...
During the past few days I canceled my summer vacation so I could watch recorded e-lectures and youtube tutorials regarding the subject of my postgraduate....
Has anyone been in my place? I apologize for the length of the message...

If you've met the entry requirements and have been made an offer then you have the necessary knowledge so don't worry about that. You will get help with your work as long as you ask for it and work hard. Don't worry about working over the summer before either. Enjoy it!
