Love the Bourne music that they have at the end - instantly recognizable (the first 10 seconds of it)

Both their jobs are to fight bad guys. Bourne is the better fighter. Therefore Bourne is better.

Bourne is brilliant, but it has to be Bond. They're different types of character really so can't be directly compared.

Bond all the way. Although the latest films have been forgettable and quite naff, classic Bond is unbeaten by Jason Bourne. Especially, as Spock's Socks rightly said, Roger Moore's Bond.

It's hard to compare the two because Bond has such a legacy and style, the two characters are also somewhat different in that Bond is relentlessly loyal to the state while Bourne is relentlessly loyal to who he is. It also somewhat depends on exactly what question you ask.

While i do prefer Daniel Craig to Matt Damon and probably think that Casino Royale narrowly pips the Bourne Ultimatum (and i mean narrowly) as the best, i tend to believe that Bourne is the better series if comparing the 4 films to the last 4 bond films.

    I will add two points..

    1) Bond has the box office edge clearly however i think this is in part because of the brand and legacy that it has. It means that even bond movies which fans don't like make a lot of money. Bourne's first three films did something pretty rare which was to pile up ever larger takings (over $400m for Ultimatum).

If we see the two series continue to stick around then it would not shock me to see Bourne start to pull in Bond numbers as the series becomes more established.

    2) If we could get Bond vs Bourne then i think i'd probably wet myself.

I think that despite the general naffness of most Bond films, at this point in my life I enjoy a good Bond film rather better than Bourne, mainly because I've watched the latter films to death. I rather enjoyed the most recent film, in part because of some of the unashamedly silly bits picked out of classic bond (the skiing chases for example), and the resulting feelings of nostalgia.

    Bourne is blue collar.

    They're both good.

    How about Johnny English?
