From what and how you've written it sounds like you want to go to Paris and are just looking for some reassurance.

Well actually I think you're right but I feel bad to turn down Durham's offer which was great!

True, might as well go to Oxbridge's equivalent in another country than Durham which is supposed to be full of Oxbridge rejects though I don't really believe that and anyway it's agood sign!

No teaching support at Paris, and that is to put it mildly.
No support for anything. Great difficulties finding accommodation. No clubs or societies. Other students live at home.
Only entrance requirement is to pass Bac. Massive drop out and failure rates.
Not at all like a English speaking Unis.
Be aware! Be careful!
