Hi, I recently applied to QMUL for Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and was given a conditional offer of AAB. With the way my exams have gone, I am predicting that I may achieve ABB or BBB or something like BBC in worst case scenario - is there any chance that they will be lenient with these grades?

Also does anyone know if Engineering at QMUL is competitive entry? Their website does not exactly state how many applications they receive per year for Mechanical Engineering, so I was wondering if anyone has a good estimate on this number?

    Thanks for all your help,

    Sayori.

It all depends on how many people have applied. On a personal note, my entry requirements 3 years ago were AAB and I achieved ABB - you never know how lucky you're going to be! It all depends on your personal statement too, how well you did in your interview, how many people have applied, what the average grade is. Don't stress too much and if it all goes wrong on the day you can always phone up and clearing will see what they can do for you! Good luck in results and let us know if you have any other questions! -Sarah
