    Hello

I am a 22 year old working as a manger in retail, I would like to drop this job to do a HNC in electrical or civil engineering, all I have to my name is a grade c a-level in design tech and a grade D AS-Level in the same subject, I was always going to join the RAF when I finished school but an unexpected crumbling disk in my spine has stopped me, this is why I stayed working in the retail environment because I basically didn't know what to do, I am fully prepared to give up my income to go into education in order to get a better job.(a job i enjoy).

I would like to know how I could get into a university that would allow me to get an HNC then a job(1 year), or a HNC then HND then job(2 years) or HNC, HND, DEGREE then job (3 years) but I dont really know where to start with the low level of academic achievement I have.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Look at Access courses. These are a one year course designed for people who haven't studied for a while, with the aim of going to uni. You can usually complete GCSE maths and English alongside if you need these as well.
