What the hell is happening to this country? These people are wrong, stupid, and shouldn't be allowed to vote.

    Funny enough, from the article:

    TOP 10 THINGS PEOPLE BELIEVE IN: *Ghosts/ spirits (30%) God (29%) Extraterrestrials (24%) Witches/ Wizards (12%) Loch Ness Monster (10%) The Illuminati (10%) Yeti/ Abominable Snowman (10%) Big Foot (8%) Fairies (8%) Dragons (5%)

God (29%) And only 24% believe in extraterrestrials? Their existence is pretty much given considering the size of the universe and the mind boggling number of other worlds. The vast majority of scientists believe there are extraterrestrials.

In all seriousness though, this poll seems a bit unrepresentative.

~65% of people in the UK are either Christian or Muslim according to the latest census data yet only 29% of people believe in God?

I don't believe this. This looks like a poor-quality commercial survey that was carried out to give tabloids something to moan about.

Typically you'd expect religious people to be more likely to believe things with no evidence (not a dig at anyone, just what I'd expect), so if anything it's probably underrepresenting the nutters. Scary.

I'm curious why an online mobile shop even bothered to commission this. Can't see even a tenuous link to what they're doing.

However, your equating this to some ******** argument about people not being allowed to vote is insane, ridiculous and so typically moronic of your antics since the referendum. Stop peddling your fascist bs about limiting democracy from people you don't like.

What drewski said. Hold the brexiters to account for sure, but this sort of shut posting is just giving those who voted to remain in the EU a bad name- just as the ignorant racists gave leave voters a bad rep.

So we should let people that believe the moon landings were fake, or that the Earth is flat, or that dinosaurs weren't real, vote? Why??? These people are too stupid to even be able to determine what's in their own best interest. They're severely delusional, and they can't make decisions about the real world because they don't live in it.

Because we don't punish people for their beliefs. We aren't thought police.

Yeah, they're wrong. But so what? Are they hurting anybody?

Additionally, we don't imposed any regulations/minimum qualifications on people who wish to be voted for, so how can we impose regulations on those who do the voting?

You just don't like the people. You just want to limit the vote to people who agree with you. You're the dangerous one.

Because if 60% of the country are ****tards, why do they deserve a smart, intelligent government? A government is only representative of its people, if the people are stupid, the government must also be stupid, otherwise the people are not really ruling their country.

Maybe these people are less likely to just believe what they're told and more likely to look at things for themselves? Maybe. This would be better for voting perhaps?
I don't automatically call skeptics stupid.

Don't we? So when some anti-vaccine freaks refuse to vaccinate their kids, compromise herd immunity, and people start dying, are we not allowed to punish them because it's just their "opinion"?

Yeah, they're wrong. But so what? Are they hurting anybody?
They're hurting society by forcing us to base our politics on beliefs that very simply aren't real. We could solve so many problems instantly if we just told people to shut up when they're wrong. What about when these anti-GM people are preventing the development and use of crops that could save millions of starving kids? What about the climate-change deniers that prevent us developing protective policies, resulting in an ongoing mass extinction, destruction of our rarest ecosystems, and an increase in deadly natural disasters all over the world? Are these idiots not hurting anyone? We lock up drug users purely to "protect society" and that's normal, but to suggest that we take the vote away from some people to actually protect society supposedly makes me fascist scum.

You just don't like the people. You just want to limit the vote to people who agree with you. You're the dangerous one.
Not really. I couldn't care less if people disagree with me whether abortion is wrong, or whether the justice system should be about punishment, or any other subjective issue. But if you believe that the Earth is flat, you are WRONG and there is no debate or discussion to be had, it's not a matter of opinion, you're simply an idiot and your input is dangerous.
