Post Grad Loan Eligibility - Distance learning

I've got a simple question I am struggling to find an answer for: are distance learning courses subject to the same pace requirments as the part time courses? The part time courses need to be finished in at least 50% of the time as the full time equivalent, but does this apply to distance learning as well?

The wording in everything i have read does not make the distinction clear.*The course i am looking at is one year full time or 3 years distance learning. *
