Feel guilty about not going "out out" anymore watch

I'm female, 26, and believe me in my uni days I made the most of the nightlife and at one point was going clubbing and staying out late about 3 times a week, with a tiny dress and stilettos on, like a typical young clubber.

Nowadays I usually go for a few drinks at a bar, rarely dress up and usually end the night by midnight absolute latest.

I feel like I WANT to go on those nights out again, just occasionally, but there seems to be a barrier to doing it. The thought of the queues, paying a tenner to get into a club, queues to the bar and to the toilet, getting trodden on by heels and not being able to have a conversation... just too much now!

Is this bad?! Am I getting old?!

The barrier is that those nights out were never that good anyway. Go into any late night city bar or club, stand to one side and look around. You will struggle to see that many people smiling... or talking for that matter - loud music doesn't exactly make for a sociable night out and there is only so much hysterical bumping into each other you can do on any one dance floor.

I gave up those sort of nights out years ago. I would much rather have my mates over for a beer, a bite to eat and a good chat, laugh and general merriment.

I much rather prefer to stay in and watch movies and chill out! I'm just turning 21 and I have never been a party animal. It's totally fine to not want to go out! Just think, you're saving money!
