I have started studying again, (self teaching) This seems almost new to me as I left education a few years back, but looking to boost my CV and knowledge so will be sitting a few non-academic specific industry related exams very soon.

All I have is a book and will be sourcing relevant videos. So far I have been reading the text book writing notes and drawing diagrams, which is taking me along time really and would be much quicker in terms of getting through the content if I were to type it out. Am using the best method? Im looking for the best method of getting the material to sync in.

    pros and cons.

Typing takes more time but easier to manipulate and amend.

I feel note making takes longer, think easuer with pen to paper and more of it goes in.

If I was a fast typist I would have typed notes.

No, it's not a good idea to type out your notes! I know it's more time-consuming, but there are studies to show that you're more likely to remember things if you handwrite your notes, as opposed to typing. I always write notes with my hands, and I rarely have problems with remembering.

Some people process the info better if they hand write it, but typing is quicker. So if you learn better from re-reading things then maybe type it then print out your notes to read and test yourself ok
