It's incredibly common to see the right wing on all forms of social media react to islamist terrorism by blaming Islam and in some cases, Muslims in general. Their arguments cite Islam as the main inspiration for these terrorist attacks, and Muslims as ignorant of the 'real Islam' or as terrorist sympathisers.

In the same vein, when commenting on the recent incidents in America regarding black people being shot by the police, it's always "not all police are bad, the majority are good", or "shouldn't have been resisting" or my favourite, "what about black on black crime?" Isn't this essentially the same as the no true scotsman fallacies they love to cite from wiki, or Muslims apologist tactics by blaming foreign policy, or even bringing up the LRA to ignore from the issue of Islamic terrorism? Aren't these exactly the same arguments that the right wing argue against?

Islam is the main inspiration for these attacks, that is a fact. It is not a no true Scotsman because they aren't saying these police aren't police, they are simply saying they are bad. In fact you seem to be inferring one in your opening paragraph, as it seems as if you are claiming these terrorist aren't "real Muslims". These issues are not analogous as on the issue of the police the right is arguing "the police in america do not have a systematic issue with racism". Whereas with the issue of terrorism is Immigration the right argues, mass immigration has spiked the rates of terrorism and violence. This second argument is immune to the no true Scotsman fallacy, because it is arguing the process itself is increasing the rates of violence and terrorism not that every Muslim is bad.

All people are hypocrites to some extent thats life, humans are complex and messy creatures.

If i were you i'd have cited some christian terror attacks such as oklahoma bombingthe israeli terror in gaza, the western terror attacks in syria, hindu attacks against muslims, sikhs, buddhists and what not and to be honest i can go on all day.

Most people who firmly ally themselves to one of the "wings" have to be hypocritical at times, as neither side has all the answers.

More obvious double standards by the left wing.

Police brutality is a problem, blacks might be slightly more effected than whites - racialise the issue to a ridiculous degree based on what CNN and the Guardian show you.

Muslims/non-natives/refugees vastly overrepresented in rape and sex trafficking - don't racialise the issue! White men rape too! Stop being divisive!

Blacks in America kill and rape way more whites than vice versa, often in brutal and disgusting ways - not a race issue. Hispanic man (Zimmerman) kills a black thug in self defence - whites are killing blacks all over the country!

    Etc etc

Islam is a religious ideology, law enforcement is a profession.

And most people don't blame all Muslims for extremism and terrorism. That's a bit of a straw man there. However, there are large numbers of Muslims who think homosexuality and apostasy should carry the death penalty, and there are very few Muslim countries that aren't backward, oppressive holes. This is very much linked to Islamic doctrine and ideology, and why we should be careful when importing it en masse.

And while there are some bad eggs in the police, they aren't driven by an ideology that has anything to do with law enforcement, and they are clearly overstepping well-defined professional and legal boundaries.

If the police were shooting African-Americans en masse because they had a special police book directly from their perfect police god who told them in no uncertain terms to shoot African-Americans, then perhaps your analogy might have some weight.
