I know Warwick is a better university than Durham for a maths course , but what are the main differences between the 2 and is durham a good uni to study maths if i want a job potentially in banking or similar or is it a no brainer between the two for warwick?

If you are set on banking, it depends which course has the best training for that direction. Which has the most finance options? But they're both good courses so go with what you'd prefer. I've visited Durham, it's nice place (bit small though) with really nice people. And living in the area around Warwick is a bit dull but I may have got the wrong impression.

Durham has a collegiate structure, Warwick is a standard campus uni. Durham is pretty, Warwick is largely not... From what I have heard Warwick has superior industry connections when it comes to things like banking. Warwick's maths department is generally considered more of a powerhouse. I study Maths at Warwick and have just completed my first year; it has been largely very good so far, the problems that do exist I have heard are standard at universities (e.g. varying quality of lecturers).

For banking, Warwick is better. It's also got a better maths department.
