... which has caused me to not get information on when and how to pay my landlord, causing me to be 25 days late on the first payment (which was a half rent retainer). I only found this out today as I was suspicious that I hadn't heard a single thing from anyone already, so I called the letting agent and they read out my email address to me... incorrectly.

    Should I be okay?

Extra information: They sent an email in June saying that the landlord had decided to specify that we are paying a month in advance of the month we're paying for (so the half-rent for the month of august is due July the 1st, rent for september is due August 1st etc.). I was unaware of this amendment, which is why I'm only finding out about this now as it's a week before when I expected to have to make the first payment.

Have you gotten a copy of your tenancy agreement?

    Yes I have.

I actually just got an email back from the landlord who sounded very understanding about the whole issue, so everything seems to be ok now (I just panicked a bit too much in the moment and felt like I needed to ask someone somewhere for advice before doing anything stupid!).
